Job Seekers

Job Seekers

Employment Facilitators work to connect local job seekers with training, job opportunities and other support. As part of their role, Employment Facilitators work with local stakeholders including employers, Employment Services Providers, and training organisations so they are well connected with training and employment programs in the region.

Employment Facilitators do not provide case management support to jobseekers however they do work with employment service providers, community service organisations and local businesses to assist job seekers access training opportunities and/or to gain employment.

Workforce Australia Local Jobs also provides resources to assist job seekers to pathway into employment.

Retrenched Workers

Retrenchment is never easy. The Australian Government’s Workforce Australia employment services will give individuals the knowledge and tools they need to get a job, learn new skills, or access extra support if they need it.

If you are a job-ready job seeker you will be placed in our online employment services. If you need more support to get job-ready an Employment Service Provider will support you with tailored services to help you find and keep meaningful work.

The Employment Facilitator can work with retrenched workers and employers through a restructure. For retrenched workers, information and resources about government programs can be provided to support quick transitions into new job opportunities. For employers, information about government programs and resources can also be provided to facilitate socially responsible restructuring, to hopefully transform a negative experience into a positive career transition for workers.
