Workforce Australia Local Jobs

Local Jobs is a collaborative place-based initiative to ensure local labour markets work well for all Australians, in partnership with business and communities. Local Jobs supports tailored, local approaches to skilling individuals to meet local workforce needs

The program includes;

  • a Job Coordinator and a Support Officer
  • a Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce
  • a Local Jobs Plan
  • access to funding for projects that provide training and employment pathways, through a Local Initiatives Fund

If you are a community group or individual with ideas for skills and employment solutions or your business has workforce needs, the Local Jobs program can work with you to develop solutions for your region.
