Local Jobs and mecwacare partnered again to deliver a Recruitment Event at The Gordon TAFE on Tuesday 7 February, with four people being offered an employment opportunity.
Seven people attended the 10am session, which consisted of an informal presentation to attendees about mecwacare and the roles available, before attendees were invited to have an informal one-on-one interview with mecwacare staff.
mecwacare were very pleased with the recruitment on the day, but they are still looking for additional staff. So if you enjoy spending time with older people and supporting others, and you would like flexible work hours, then working in home care could be for you.
Over 20 roles are available, including Domestic Cleaners and Personal Care Workers, in Geelong and the Surf Coast covering The Bellarine, Belmont, Grovedale, Torquay and Anglesea. No experience or qualifications are needed for some roles.
