Event Recap: Hospitality and Tourism Jobs Expo

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, over 227 attendees gathered at The Gordon City Campus for the Hospitality and Tourism Jobs Expo. This event was proudly delivered by Workforce Australia Local Jobs (Barwon), Skilling the Bay, The Gordon, and Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine.

The Expo provided a fantastic opportunity for leading employers, training organisations, and support services across the Geelong region to showcase exciting opportunities in the dynamic Hospitality and Tourism industry.

Highlights of the event included cooking demonstrations by The Gordon’s own Black Hat Chef, Brendan Hill, who created stunning sugar sculptures, and MasterChef’s Emelia Jackson, who shared her chocolate soufflé cake recipe. Attendees enjoyed tours of the Culinary School, delicious paella and curry, and live music from Levi Anderson and K Rock. The event offered a memorable experience, with some attendees even securing job offers!
